Heart Sick
This heartbreaking debut novel from Jessie Stephens was an unusual one to pick out for my leisurely summer reading. Nothing quite like shedding a tear on the beautiful beaches of Queensland, right? Maybe.
Regardless of my own silliness, this book was anything but. It was a beautifully emotive example of how investigative journalism can be used to create a story that simply can't be made up.
The book followed 3 narratives of 3 vastly different people and their stories of heartbreak. As the reader, you join them for relationship highs, and eventually, the lows. These were 3 worlds I've been missing since finishing this read.
